Job description

As an Anatomic Pathologist , you will be responsible for grossand / ormicroscopicexaminationofanatomicpathologyspecimensand preparationofpathologyreportsin a timely manner.

In This Role

• You will meet caseload and turnaround expectations.
• You will provide telephoneconsultationsto clients.
• You will consult with and assist other pathologists as neededtopromotecollegiality.
• You will interact with, advise and assist laboratory personnel in properspecimenprocessingtechniquesand function as the pathologist on duty.
• Youwillpromotethegrowth of IDEXX by actively participating in pathologist meetings and developing andmaintaining professionalrelationships / contactwith clients.
• You will participate in thequalitycontrolprograms.
• You will maintain proficiency anddevelopdiagnosticskillsthrough regularcontinuing education.
• Time will be available fromroutinediagnosticresponsibilitiesto allow the pathologist to engage in other professional activities as approved bymanagement. Such activities should improve the function or professional reputation of IDEXX.
• CPD is enabled.

What You Will Need to Succeed

• You are a Doctor ofVeterinaryMedicine(DVM) or equivalent.PathologyBoardCertified- American College ofVeterinary Pathology(ACVP) or European College of VeterinaryPathology(ECVP) preferred. MMedVet(Path) also considered.
• You are familiar with current topics and issuesinclinicalveterinarymedicine.
• You are able to type and usedictation equipment.
• You haveexcellentcommunicationskillsandinterpersonalcapabilities.
• You are able to work independently on routine tasks and need minimal guidance.
• Experience inaveterinarydiagnosticlaboratoryis preferred.
• Some experience inadiagnosticfield(surgicalpathologypreferred).
• You have aserviceorientedattitude.
• You are abletoorganizeandprioritize work.
• Computerskills are required.
