IMZAFA Chem and Lab is currently seeking Part‑Time Field Chemists with flexible availability and a willingness to work on an on‑call basis in the marine and oil & gas industries. The ideal candidate would be a student or an unemployed graduate with a passion for applied chemistry and fieldwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct confined space atmospheric testing for man entry and hot work.
  • Certify spaces for safe entry and / or hot work operations.
  • Participate in on‑site inspections aboard ships, rigs, and cargo tankers.
Qualifications
  • N.D. Chemistry or B.Sc. Chemistry (no prior experience required).
  • Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle are mandatory.
  • Training on ships, rigs, and cargo tankers will be provided.
Important Notes
  • The marine, oil and gas industries maintain a strict zero tolerance policy for alcohol and drugs in the workplace.
  • The job involves climbing into confined spaces / tanks and working at heights.
  • A medical examination will be conducted annually.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) — including overalls, hard hat, boots, and gloves — will be provided.
