ENVIRONMENT
ANALYSE basic user requirements, design, implement and support less complex technical systems as the next Analyst Programmer sought by a reputable Retail Group. You will develop simple technical specifications, interpret basic user requirements and translate into systems design while resolving less complex user queries using SQL database and web-based query tools. The ideal candidate will require a 3-year IT or NQF-aligned tertiary qualification with 2+ years Programming/Analyst Programming experience including Development and Project Management methodology.
DUTIES
Analysis, technical design and development aligned to team processes & requirements –
- Develop simple technical specifications from systems specifications.
- Design and code simple less complex programmes from technical specifications.
- Facilitate and run with requirements gathering/understanding sessions with stakeholder as input to design and documentation.
- Document in design and processes using industry standard documentation requirements, SRS’S, AIS’s, etc.
Maintain and support existing systems -
- Interpret basic user requirements and translate into systems design.
- Investigate and solve simple systems issues.
- Ensure systems documentation is kept up to date.
Ensure effective operations -
- Assist with implementing approved changes as per change control and security process.
Support current solutions –
- Resolve less complex user queries using SQL database and web-based query tools.
- Manage tickets for incidents and ensure closure within SLA.
- Collaborate with the Business Process team and provide functional input to resolve.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications –
- 3-Year IT or NQF-aligned qualification.
Experience/Skills –
- 2 -3 Years Programming/Analyst Programming experience.
- 1-2 Years Development experience.
- Specific Development skills.
- Project Management methodology.
- Relevant business process context knowledge.
- Ability to use technological equipment, programmes and applications to enhance productivity.
- Displays an innate willingness to learn and keep abreast of current methodologies and technologies.
- Effectively uses existing procedures, processes, and tools to identify and solve routine problems.
