Purpose of the Job

To manage all ICT assets (hardware and software) throughout their lifecycle to ensure assets are used effectively and according to organisational policies. The person appointed to this position will report to the ICT Services Manager.

Key Performance Areas
  • Manage ICT assets (hardware and software) lifecycle from start to end, and ensure standards for the use and functioning thereof are adhered to;
  • Implement and maintain ICT assets policies and procedures;
  • Liaise with the FSCA Assets Management and Supply Chain functions to ensure ICT assets are managed according to organisational policies;
  • Administer the ICT assets register and report on assets status to management;
  • Manage ICT storerooms and asset disposals;
  • Coordinate ICT assets verification processes;
  • Monitor and record movement of all ICT assets;
  • Manage the software audit processes;
  • Keep record and track all software license keys;
  • Monitor supplier performance against agreed SLAs;
  • Manage loaner pools of computer assets;
  • Manage and coordinate asset warranties and guaranties;
  • Produce management reports on ICT assets; and
  • Provide support to the ICT teams on assets queries.
  • Enforce compliance to Occupational Health and Safety standards for ICT Assets
  • Implement and maintain digital tools for asset functions
  • Implement innovative initiatives for efficient asset administration
  • Collaborate with technical teams for asset transfer and maintenance
  • Collaborate with departments and educate on responsible use and care of assets

Good analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work in teams, good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact with management on all levels.

Requirements
  • A Diploma or Degree in IT, Logistics, or Business Administration with at least 2 to 3 years' experience in assets management within the ICT environment. The candidate must have a good understanding of ICT best practices, ability to provide management reports and good accurate records keeping. ITIL foundation certification and an experience with IT Asset management software applications is an added advantage.
