Placements24 seeks a meticulous Aircraft Systems Technician to join our team in Tembisa. The role covers hands-on installation, inspection, troubleshooting and repair of avionics, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure safety and performance before flight.

You will work in a collaborative workshop environment, with opportunities for advanced training, type ratings and overtime. A strong commitment to quality workmanship and regulatory compliance is essential.

Formación

• Trade qualification in Aircraft Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience as Aircraft Systems Technician or similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and blueprints.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment specific to aviation maintenance.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on aircraft electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults in avionic and control systems.
• Install new aircraft systems and components per manuals and drawings.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues.
• Document maintenance activities and parts used in logbooks and systems.

About the Role

Our client seeks a meticulous and skilled Aircraft Systems Technician to join their team based in Tembisa . This role involves the hands-on installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of various aircraft systems, including avionics, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. You will be an integral part of the maintenance crew, ensuring that all aircraft meet stringent safety and performance standards before flight. This position requires a strong commitment to quality workmanship and adherence to all aviation regulations, contributing directly to the operational efficiency and safety of the fleet within a collaborative workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and scheduled maintenance on aircraft electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults in complex avionic and aircraft control systems.
• Install new aircraft systems and components according to technical manuals and engineering drawings.
• Utilize specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used accurately in the aircraft logbooks and maintenance system.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure efficient workflow and problem resolution.

Requirements

• Trade qualification in Aircraft Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as an Aircraft Systems Technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of aircraft systems, including avionics, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment specific to aviation maintenance.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass security clearances.
