Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aircraft Painter for an MRO facility in Kimberley, Northern Cape. The role focuses on surface preparation, priming, painting, and coatings to maintain aircraft exterior integrity and compliance with safety standards.

You will work with HVLP spray guns and various painting systems, inspect finished work for defects, and uphold strict safety practices and PPE usage in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an aircraft painter or in a similar industrial painting role.
• Knowledge of different paint systems, surface preparation techniques, and application methods.
• Ability to read and understand technical specifications and safety data sheets.
• Experience with HVLP spray guns and other painting equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality finishes.

Responsabilités

• Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting, including cleaning, degreasing, masking, and sanding.
• Apply primers, topcoats, and coatings according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Operate and maintain spray equipment, ensuring proper calibration and application techniques.
• Inspect finished paintwork for defects such as runs, sags, or uneven coverage, and perform necessary rectifications.
• Adhere to strict safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring efficient workflow.
