Placements24 is seeking an Aircraft Interior Technician to join their Richards Bay team. The role focuses on the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of cabin interiors, working with upholstery, plastics, composites, and electronics to meet safety and passenger comfort standards.

You will repair components, perform upholstery, install IFE systems and cabin lighting, troubleshoot minor electrical issues, and ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as upholsterer, cabinet maker, or general repair technician, preferably in aviation.
• Skilled in working with fabric, leather, plastics, and composites.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and IFE components is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail for fine finishing work.
• Willingness to work on-site in Richards Bay and adapt to operational schedules.

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace damaged or worn cabin interior components such as seats, carpets, overhead bins, and galleys.
• Perform upholstery work, including sewing, patching, and cleaning of aircraft seats and other fabric elements.
• Install and maintain in-flight entertainment (IFE) systems and cabin lighting.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues related to cabin amenities.
• Ensure all interior work complies with aviation safety standards and regulations.
