Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a key player in aircraft component maintenance based in Bloemfontein , is seeking a skilled Aircraft Electrical Systems Technician . This role involves the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of complex electrical systems and components on various aircraft. You will work within a modern workshop environment, utilizing specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to ensure the optimal performance and safety of aircraft electrical systems. This hybrid role offers a balance between on-site technical work and potential remote administrative tasks, contributing to the seamless operation of a vital aviation MRO facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft electrical systems and components, including wiring, circuit breakers, and power distribution units.
• Diagnose electrical faults using advanced diagnostic equipment and technical documentation.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals to perform repairs accurately.
• Ensure all work performed complies with aviation safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Document all maintenance actions, parts used, and test results in the company's maintenance tracking system.

Requirements

• Trade qualification as an Electrician or relevant technical certification in Aircraft Electrical Systems.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience working with aircraft electrical systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical testing equipment.
• Strong understanding of aviation electrical principles and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical manuals and schematics, with good documentation skills.
