Placements24 is recruiting an Aircraft Avionics Technician for a state-of-the-art aviation facility in Tembisa. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing complex avionics systems vital for flight safety and performance.

You will work with a specialized team, using manuals and wiring diagrams, calibrating equipment, and keeping meticulous maintenance records to ensure compliance and reliability across a diverse fleet.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training or certification in avionics is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an Aircraft Avionics Technician.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electronic systems.
• Familiarity with common avionics test equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations pertaining to avionics systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft avionics systems, including communication, navigation, and flight control systems.
• Interpret and utilize technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to perform maintenance tasks.
• Calibrate and align avionics equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance performed, including parts used and labor hours, within the company's maintenance tracking system.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure seamless integration of avionics systems with other aircraft components.
