Blacksmith Agency is seeking an AI Software Engineer to own and ship our internal automation roadmap, building production systems on top of AI models rather than researching them. You will work closely with engineering and delivery leadership to transform a documented automation roadmap into shipped, working systems.

This role requires hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph and other agent frameworks, plus API integrations with OpenAI or Anthropic.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with engineering and delivery leadership to map automation roadmaps to shipped systems.
• Build production automation workflows on top of AI models.
• Implement integrations with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, including tooling and function calling.
• Develop internal tools to reduce manual hours across design and development processes.
• Create automation pipelines linking WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and internal CMS.
• Assist MCP server integrations as part of the AI stack.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As AI Software Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them.

You work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to take a documented roadmap of automation workflows and turn them into shipped, working systems. This role is for someone who has already built things with LLMs and can show it.

What You Will Build

• Agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrations with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs including tool use and function calling.
• Internal tools that reduce manual hours across our design and development production process.
• Automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our internal CMS.
• MCP server integrations as part of our broader AI stack.

What You Bring
