Placements24 is seeking an AI Ethics Officer in Upington to champion responsible AI development and deployment. You will establish ethical standards, embed governance into the AI lifecycle, and collaborate with legal, compliance, data science and engineering teams.

You will conduct ethical impact assessments, ensure fairness, transparency, and privacy compliance, and lead training programs to raise awareness across the organization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Ethics, Law, Computer Science, Philosophy, or a related field.
• Demonstrated understanding of AI technologies and their ethical implications.
• Experience in developing and implementing ethical frameworks or policies, preferably in technology.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess complex ethical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance standards.
