Descrição da oferta de emprego

Purpose Of Media Team

Media exists to deliver against client objectives. It brings together distinct disciplines and expertise, taking a brief all the way through to an end of campaign report. Planning sets the framework from the audience and the data, Media Investment executes the buying that turns market knowledge and negotiation into value, and Digital owns the channels, optimising in-platform to get more from the spend. Clear lanes between them, accountable end-to-end: the work goes live on time, to a high standard, and performs against what the client set out to achieve.

Media Executive

Purpose Of Media Team

Media exists to deliver against client objectives. It brings together distinct disciplines and expertise, taking a brief all the way through to an end of campaign report. Planning sets the framework from the audience and the data, Media Investment executes the buying that turns market knowledge and negotiation into value, and Digital owns the channels, optimising in-platform to get more from the spend. Clear lanes between them, accountable end-to-end: the work goes live on time, to a high standard, and performs against what the client set out to achieve.

Purpose

Execute campaigns accurately across the channels Media Investment owns through the Media Manager: OOH, broadcast, audio, press, cinema, CTV and programmatic. Run what turns a confirmed plan into live activity: bookings, copy instructions, trafficking, asset coordination, live monitoring and budget reconciliation. Build market knowledge through the work and develop toward Manager-level responsibility. Show up curious, accurate and engaged: the person across the detail of how the market actually works, building the platform of knowledge that turns into Manager-level capability over time.

Reports to Head of Media Investment

Accountable for

  • Accurate campaign execution across the Executive's channels: bookings, copy instructions, trafficking, asset logistics.
  • Asset coordination with the client across the Executive's channels: assets in, checked against spec, and to partners in time to launch.
  • Live campaign monitoring: pacing, delivery, discrepancies, flagged to the Manager promptly.
  • Budget reconciliation, campaign trackers and status documentation.
  • First-draft brief building using AI templates and prior campaign data, developed by the Manager.
  • The accuracy of their work and outputs across every channel they execute on.
  • Supplier and publisher relationships: media owners, third-party specialists and education publisher groups. Briefing, negotiation, proposal management, performance, commercial terms.

Responsibilities

  • Take the strategic intent from the Planner and turn it into market-ready briefs. Budget breakdowns, flighting, format choices, audience parameters and regulatory logistics all clear and complete before the brief goes out.
  • Interrogate proposals that come back with independent market knowledge. Challenge format mix, audience indexing, rate padding, daypart logic, broadcast costs. Accepting plans without challenging them is not the job.
  • Negotiate with media owners and third-party specialists within the parameters the Head of Media Investment sets: rate vs prior quarter, added value, cancellation flexibility, production contributions, rebate structures. Escalate where decisions sit above those parameters.
  • Execute campaign bookings, copy instructions and creative trafficking accurately across the channels the Executive owns.
  • Coordinate the assets with the client across their channels: brief what is needed, chase what is outstanding, check it against spec, and get it to partners in time for go-live. Keep the client clear on requirements and deadlines.
  • Manage artwork and regulatory approval logistics: format requirements, location-specific restrictions, broadcast clearance, submission timelines. Surface anything that could affect go-live early.
  • Monitor live campaigns: pacing, delivery, discrepancies, performance against plan. Flag issues to the Manager promptly, not at month-end.
  • Manage budget reconciliation, campaign trackers and status documents on their accounts. Keep them current.
  • Build first-draft briefs to media owners and third-party specialists using AI templates, prior campaign data and rate benchmarks.
  • Run pre-launch checks on every booking they own: rates, specs, audience, flighting, format, regulatory approvals.
  • Lead the response for Media Investment channels in client meetings; answering questions and providing expertise
  • Build third-party relationships at the working level: media owner reps, third-party specialist contacts, education publisher contacts, broadcast and audio sales teams.
  • Use AI to accelerate brief templating, rate sense-checking, pacing monitoring and budget reconciliation. Build it into the daily routine so time goes into the work that needs human judgment.
  • Hold the client conversation and the negotiation on smaller clients; support the Manager with this on larger clients

IPAR+E in this role

IPAR+E is the operating standards, the common language for how we work at AIP. It holds across every role and holds whatever changes around it, a shared standard that connects how we add value as an organisation all the way down to every role. Every role carries responsibility for applying it.

Intelligence: Build real market knowledge through the work, how the channels price, what the formats and dayparts do, what suppliers are capable of, so the detail behind every booking is understood, not just processed.

Prediction: Run the pre-launch checks and spot what could affect go-live, rate, spec, clearance or timeline, early enough to fix it.

Action: Turn the confirmed plan into live activity: bookings, copy instructions, trafficking and asset coordination, accurately and on time.

Review: Monitor live campaigns against plan, reconcile budgets, keep the trackers current, and flag discrepancies promptly rather than at month-end.

Client Engagement: Coordinate assets with the client cleanly, support the Manager in client meetings, and follow up on the actions.

AI Expectations

  • This role is expected to use AI as a core part of how the work gets done. LLM tools are available across the agency, and the Media Executive should actively apply and learn, building AI into the daily routine.
  • Use AI to build first-draft briefs from templates, prior campaign data and rate benchmarks, ready for the Manager to develop.
  • Use AI to sense-check rates and proposals, building the market knowledge to know when something looks off.
  • Use AI to speed up pacing monitoring and budget reconciliation, so the trackers stay current with less manual effort.
  • Use AI on the repetitive execution and admin first, and put the time saved into building market knowledge and judgment.

Skills And Experience

  • Some experience in a media, buying or campaign role, or a strong grounding and a real appetite to learn the offline and broadcast channels properly.
  • Accurate and detail-driven: the kind of person who gets bookings, specs and trafficking right first time.
  • Organised, on top of deadlines, trackers and follow-ups without being chased.
  • Numerate and comfortable with budgets, pacing and reconciliation.
  • Curious about how the market actually works, and wants to understand why a plan is built the way it is.
  • A clear communicator who flags issues early and keeps records current.
  • Builds working relationships with media owners, specialists and clients on the day-to-day.
  • Comfortable using AI as a normal part of doing the work.

Success looks like

  • Campaigns are executed accurately across every channel: bookings, copy, trafficking and asset logistics right first time.
  • Assets are in, checked and to partners in time, with the client kept clear on what is needed and by when.
  • Issues that could affect go-live are surfaced early, never at month-end.
  • Budgets are reconciled, trackers are current, and the status of every campaign is clear.
  • First-draft briefs are strong enough that the Manager develops them rather than rebuilds them, and more of the brief lands with the Executive over time.
  • Market knowledge is visibly growing: the Executive understands why plans are built as they are, not just how to process them.
  • The Executive is building clearly toward Manager-level capability.

Possiblist behaviours

These describe how we do the work, the attitude and approach we expect from everyone, whatever their job.

  • Be bold and unapologetic. We never win by pretending to be something we're not.
  • Be the one who makes it happen. And own it. We'll back you up.
  • Have a point of view, and say it like you mean it. Remember YOU are the expert. So get your point across directly.
  • Be always open. Closing yourself off is the opposite of Possiblism.
  • Win by working together. Our superpower is each other.
  • Grow in all directions. 1% better every day, in every way, for our clients, for the agency, for yourself.
