NTT DATA, Inc. in Johannesburg is seeking an AI Developer to design, build, test, and deploy AI-powered solutions within the Microsoft AI ecosystem.

You will translate business needs into practical AI apps, integrate with enterprise systems, and drive the adoption of AI across the organization. The role covers development of copilots, virtual assistants, and AI agents, with emphasis on secure, scalable, and compliant implementations in a cloud-first environment.

Qualifications

• Matric and a Degree or Diploma in Computer Science.
• 2-5 years of software development experience in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying AI, automation, or digital solutions.
• Experience integrating applications, APIs, and business systems.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Exposure to cloud-based application development and deployment.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-powered applications, copilots, virtual assistants, and AI agents.
• Configure and develop solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services, and Azure OpenAI.
• Build prompt orchestration, workflows, integrations, and conversational experiences.
• Develop and configure AI agents to automate business processes and enhance user experiences.
• Support PoCs, pilots, MVPs, and production implementations.
• Contribute to reusable AI accelerators, frameworks, and development standards.
• Translate business requirements into practical AI and automation solutions.
• Integrate AI with enterprise apps, APIs, databases, and business systems.
• Develop secure and scalable integrations using Microsoft Graph and Azure services.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimisation.
• Document technical designs, deployment guides, solution architecture, and procedures.
• Follow engineering standards, participate in design reviews, and ensure security/compliance.
• Support continuous improvement of AI engineering practices and DevOps pipelines.
• Apply Responsible AI principles throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and participate in Agile ceremonies.
