Job summary

Responsibilities
- Develop existing applications and contribute to development of new applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
- Monitor, identify, and correct more complex software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software.
- Produce multiple concepts and prototypes to design digital products/services.
- Discuss and recommend technical developments to improve website/portal/applications software and supporting infrastructure.
- Contribute to and maintain a roadmap to facilitate application software development.
- Provide fault isolation and resolution to limit and address issues promptly.
- Create and maintain complex technical and/or user documentation to a high standard.
- Design and perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues.

This is not a support role. You will work on high-impact problems, build tools, improve decision quality, and help scale how the business operates.
- Develop existing applications and contribute to development of new applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement. Develop new routine applications to meet customer requirements.
- Monitor, identify, and correct more complex software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software.
- Produce multiple concepts and prototypes to design digital products/services.
- Discuss and recommend technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/applications software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users’ needs.
- Contribute to and maintain a roadmap to facilitate application software development and ensure the development work is prioritized in line with business requirements.
- Provide fault isolation and resolution to limit and address issues promptly.
- Create and maintain complex technical and/or user documentation to a high standard.
- Design and perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues.
- Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards.
- Identify, within the team, patterns of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and with relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, taking appropriate action to report and resolve these and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Implement required security measures, such as firewalls or message encryption, and provide input on their design, monitoring performance to notify security experts of any problems.
- Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
- Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
- Document "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.
- Design distribution of basic database resources and provide physical modeling and design services to tune database applications for optimum performance.
- Support AI integration across investment research (including screening tools), portfolio management and operations.
- Identify practical AI use cases and help deploy decision-support tool.
- Explore automation that improves efficiency, insight and client outcomes.
- Support model development and quantitative analysis across investment workstreams.
- Assist with data modelling, forecasting, optimisation and analytical problem-solving.
- Work with financial datasets to generate insight and improve decisions.
- Support modelling initiatives in Bloomberg and related platforms.
- Analyse workflows and identify redesign and optimisation opportunities.
- Build dashboards and reporting tools that improve scalability and decision-making.
- Support data-driven decision-making across business and investment functions.
