Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Agricultural Technician to support R&D in the Richards Bay region. The role is remote with field visits as needed, focusing on data collection and the application of innovative farming techniques.

You will work with agricultural scientists and farm managers to run trials, manage field data, and operate equipment, with travel to field sites when required. Diploma or certificate in Agriculture or Agronomy and at least two years in a technical/agricultural role are

• Experience in agricultural support or technical roles (2+ years).
• Proficiency in data collection and basic statistical analysis (preferred).

• Assist in setting up and conducting agricultural field experiments and trials.

• Operate and maintain agricultural equipment and machinery used in experiments.
• Implement and monitor application of fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments.
• Provide technical support to scientists and farm staff during research activities.
