Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities by identifying and securing new clients within the agricultural sector.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Utilise a CRM system to track leads, opportunities, sales and follow-ups.
- Coordinate logistics for timely delivery of fertiliser products.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers and logistics service providers to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct market research to identify growth areas and competitor activity.
- Provide clients with product knowledge and technical support.
- Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts with clients.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts and pipeline updates.
- Represent the company at trade shows, events and meetings.
Requirements
- Proven track record in agricultural input sales.
- Strong business development and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of agricultural practices and seasonal crop cycles.
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in sales within the agriculture sector.
- Established network of farmers, cooperatives or distributors will be advantageous.
