Placements24 is seeking an Agricultural Researcher to contribute to innovative farming practices at their Paarl facility. You will design and execute experiments to improve crop yields, develop disease-resistant varieties, and enhance sustainable methods, while analyzing data and reporting findings to stakeholders.

The role requires advanced degrees in agriculture-related fields, strong research experience, and proficiency with statistical tools and GIS.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Science, Genetics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in conducting agricultural research, including experimental design and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of plant physiology, genetics, and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in using scientific equipment and relevant software (e.g., statistical packages, GIS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presenting findings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a research team.
