We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee end-to-end agricultural production across farms and related facilities. The role focuses on driving efficient, high-quality crop production while managing people, resources, budgets, and compliance. The ideal candidate combines strong agricultural expertise with a commercial, data-driven mindset and a holistic approach to farming operations.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the agricultural industry, with at least 5 years in a management role
  • Strong background in horticulture and crop production, preferably within the vegetable sector
  • Proven experience managing agricultural operations from planting through to harvest, packing, and logistics
  • Solid knowledge of production planning, budgeting, cost control, and yield optimisation
  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, and strategic sourcing within an agricultural environment
  • Understanding of retailer technical and audit requirements (advantageous)
  • Experience supplying produce into major South African retail value chains (advantageous)
  • Strong leadership skills with experience hiring, training, and managing farm teams
  • Knowledge of food safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance
