About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Agricultural Engineer to join their team in Randburg . This role is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of agricultural machinery, equipment, and systems to improve efficiency, sustainability, and productivity in farming operations. You will work on projects ranging from soil and water management systems to automated machinery and processing technologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering fundamentals coupled with a deep understanding of agricultural challenges, contributing to the technological advancement of the farming sector in Gauteng and beyond. This position requires innovation and a practical approach to solving complex engineering problems in an agricultural context.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement new agricultural machinery, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Develop and optimize systems for soil and water conservation, irrigation, and drainage.
• Analyze and improve the efficiency of farming operations through the application of engineering principles.
• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of agricultural equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) registration or eligibility is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical controls as applied to agriculture.
