Aftersales Technician

We’re looking for a dedicated Aftersales Technician who takes genuine pride in customer support, problem-solving, and keeping solar systems performing at their best. Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical aftersales support for solar inverters, batteries, and monitoring systems.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve product issues remotely and on‑site.
  • Process RMAs, warranty claims, and technical escalations in line with OEM standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records, reports, and customer communication logs.
  • Assist installers, distributors, and end‑users with product guidance and best‑practice recommendations.
  • Conduct product testing, quality checks, and field evaluations as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering and product teams to raise recurring issues or improvement feedback.
  • Support training sessions for installers and partners when required.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Matric + relevant technical qualification (Electrical Engineering N‑Diploma or equivalent preferred).
  • 2–4 years of experience in solar PV, inverter support, or general electrical fault‑finding.
  • Strong understanding of DC/AC systems, inverter commissioning, and system diagnostics.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and patiently with customers and partners.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel when necessary.
  • Computer‑literate with experience in CRM or ticketing systems (advantageous).
