Pretoria Chinese School, a prestigious independent institution dedicated to academic excellence, invites applications for an Afrikaans Teacher position. We are seeking a passionate and dynamic educator in Senior Primary Phase.

Key Qualifications
  • Must have experience teaching in an IEB school.
  • Hold appropriate academic and professional qualifications to teach in the High School Phase.
  • Be registered with SACE.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the IEB Afrikaans Curriculum.
  • Be passionate about education, creative, self-motivated, and energetic.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Possess excellent organisational skills to assess and monitor student progress while providing constructive feedback.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Afrikaans First Additional Language.
  • Foster a stimulating and supportive learning environment that upholds the ethos and values of the school.
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into the classroom.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular programme and support students beyond the classroom.
  • Be available during afternoons, evenings, and other required times to assist with co-curricular activities, workshops, courses, and school functions.
