Job summary

The African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) invites applications for its 2026 Internship Programme based in Pretoria, South Africa, offering practical experience in tax administration, governance and public policy, with mentorship and a monthly stipend.

Interns will rotate across departments, support research, policy development and corporate services, and gain exposure to regional tax policy initiatives within a professional office environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum NQF Level 7 qualification (or completing one) in a related field.
• No prior professional work experience required, internships encouraged.
• Masters/PhD candidates in related fields are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assist in research and analysis on tax administration topics.
• Support development of regional policy initiatives.
• Provide administrative support to ATAF departments.
• Participate in meetings and workshops.
• Prepare reports and presentations.
