Purpose / Details of the Job
Chief Marketing Manager (CMM) position is responsible for the development of product strategy, leading the product milestone (product change events) process, and product is the focal point for product strategy implementation and efforts to deliver business KPIs (profit, volume, market share, brand, etc.)
Qualifications / Requirements
Minimum qualification: National Diploma / Degree in marketing OR any related qualification
6 - 10 years' experience in Business, Product Marketing, Product Planning, Sales, MI and Marcomms or Project Management with experience in the Automotive and Manufacturing industry.
Key Performance Areas
- Africa Line-up and Product Strategy Management: Lead life cycle management activity and negotiate with relevant functions for a healthy product life cycle with sustainable competitiveness, with efforts to delivery one product event per year. Define Product line-up deficiencies, risks and opportunities, and develop the business case for new development request. Cascade recent markets' updates and study future technology adaptation with advanced & product planning teams (ex: EV readiness study, Connectivity, Autonomous driving ...). Midtrem Plan M&S input (volumes, share, Marketing & Sales expenses).
- Africa Product Milestones Management: Manage Product Events Milestones (Contract, MPR, new requests), aligning with internal and regional stakeholders. Create M&S proposal to meet RBU markets' needs in the best possible way through: Robust volume and market share proposal with ambition. Competitive price positioning. M&S expenses proposal (FMI & VME). Product Spec and End Item management to suit the different customer needs.
- Launch Strategy and Management (Africa markets): Create the Go-to-market M&S strategy, incl. defining target customer and value proposition. Input to Marketing brief, follow up campaign development, proof read assets. Lead cross-functional implementation. Be the source of expert knowledge and promoter of launching model, towards Internal / external stakeholders (employees, media, partners, dealers etc ...).
- Performance Management (Africa markets): Contribute to BP M&S assumption. Day-to-day management of product performance including: Track, understand and assimilate market demand trend (TIV), price trend and competitiveness (TPVA), and competitors' actions. Price increase and VME proposal for managed products with Sales Team. Develop Action plan to realign with BP & milestones commitment. Validate product communication assets.
