Job summary

A leading South African bank seeks an experienced Adviser for AIFA in Everyday Banking. This role involves providing specialist advice on Commercial Lines, Short Term Insurance, and Life products. The successful candidate will engage with clients to achieve sales targets while ensuring compliance with standards. Relevant certifications and a FETC in business studies are required for application. This is a full-time hybrid position based in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder Management: Actively promote and manage collaborative engagement of internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, suppliers, clients, service providers, business partners and other Absa entities.
  • Sales Target: Proactively make self‑initiated contact with customers to deliver against required sales targets.
  • Customer Engagement: Plan activities by identifying clients to contact during a particular period.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Fulfil all activities in adherence to relevant control, compliance requirements and quality standards.
  • Manage own broker practice: Ensure staff (Broker Assistants and Interns) understand their roles and responsibilities.
