Placements24 is seeking an Advanced Permanent Makeup Artist and Tattoo Removal Specialist for a premier beauty studio in Cape Town, Western Cape. The ideal candidate combines artistry with technical expertise in PMU and laser tattoo removal, ensuring client satisfaction and safety.

With a minimum of 4 years in both PMU application and tattoo removal, you will design, execute, and refine procedures while maintaining meticulous records and upholding hygiene standards in a dynamic studio

Key Responsibilities

• Performing detailed consultations to understand client needs for permanent makeup (brows, eyeliner, lips) and tattoo removal.
• Designing and executing permanent makeup procedures using various techniques (e.g., microblading, powder brows, ombre lips).
• Operating advanced laser tattoo removal machines to safely and effectively break down tattoo ink.
• Assessing skin type, tone, and suitability for different permanent makeup pigments and tattoo removal protocols.
• Providing thorough pre- and post-treatment care instructions to clients.
• Maintaining impeccable hygiene and sterilization standards for all equipment and the treatment area.
• Keeping detailed client records, including treatment history, pigment choices, and laser settings.
• Staying abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and safety regulations in permanent makeup and tattoo removal.
• Managing inventory of pigments, needles, anesthetics, and other essential supplies.
• Collaborating with the studio team to ensure a seamless client experience.

Requirements

• Professional certification in Permanent Makeup Artistry from a reputable academy.
• Certification and extensive experience in operating Q-switched or Pico laser systems for tattoo removal.
• A minimum of 4 years of hands‑on experience in both permanent makeup application and tattoo removal.
• Proven portfolio showcasing diverse permanent makeup styles and successful tattoo removal results.
• Strong understanding of color theory, facial anatomy, and symmetry.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and steady hands for precise procedures.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex procedures simply.
• Knowledge of skin healing processes and potential complications.
• Proficiency in health and safety protocols, including sterilization and cross‑contamination prevention.
