Job description
Introduction

MHR is looking for experienced Advanced Life Support Practitioners (ALS) / Emergency Care Practitioners (ECP) to work part‑time shifts (OPERATIONS and EVENTS) in Trichardt in Mpumalanga province.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversees and ensures operational readiness for emergency calls
  • Administers patient care in line with scope of practice
  • Liaison with trauma staff and doctors
  • Provides basic shift administration services
Requirements
  • Advanced Life Support Practitioner (CCA, Ndip) or other relevant qualification is essential
  • Professional registration with HPCSA as an ALS / Paramedic or Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP)
  • A valid drivers' license and valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) (Requirement for Operations shifts. If only going to work events, no PrDP required)
  • Proven operational experience as a Paramedic or newly qualified Paramedic – 1 year's ALS operational experience will be advantageous
  • Sound knowledge of the EMS environment
  • Knowledge and application of HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice
  • Working knowledge and experience of Patient Report Forms
  • Upholds high ethical and professional standards
  • Responds constructively to pressure and perseveres through challenges
  • Collaborates with and supports colleagues in order to achieve shared goals
  • Reaches sound decisions through the evaluation of relevant information
  • Strives to identify and deliver on patient's needs and continuously focus on the patient experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
