Job summary

An aircraft operations company is seeking a detail-oriented individual for an administrative and operational support role. Responsibilities include maintenance planning, stores management, and procurement to ensure smooth operations. Candidates should have a Matric and strong computer skills, with experience in aviation advantageous. This position is based in South Africa, Gauteng.

Qualifications

Job description

Our group includes a fully approved Aircraft Maintenance Organisation (AMO) and an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) operation.

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our aviation team in an administrative and operational support capacity.

The successful candidate will assist with stores management, maintenance planning, procurement, and general administration functions essential to the smooth running of the AMO and AOC.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintenance planning and coordination with engineers and management.
  • Stores management, including receiving, issuing, and tracking aircraft parts.
  • Procurement and stock ordering, ensuring critical components are available when needed.
  • Avdex system administration maintaining up-to-date and accurate records.
  • Shipping and logistics coordination for parts and equipment.
  • Flight following and communication with crew and maintenance teams.
  • Preparing and updating flight summaries and related reports.
  • General administrative tasks related to AMO and AOC operations.
  • SACAA audit and inspection preparation, including maintaining records and taking meeting minutes.
  • Maintaining and updating asset registers for tools and equipment.
  • Handling travel arrangements and accommodation bookings when required.
  • General hangar oversight, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and adherence to safety requirements.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Matric (Grade 12) required.
  • Own reliable transport and valid driver's licence.
  • Experience in aviation, logistics, maintenance planning, or stores control advantageous.
  • Strong computer literacy, including MS Office and Avdex (or willingness to learn).
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
