Job description

Our client, a thriving business in the greater St Francis Bay area, is looking to employ an experienced Administrative Stock Clerk to their dynamic team.

Requirements
  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in stock control and administration.
  • Experience in the fishing industry or FMCG (food) sector will be advantageous.
  • Computer literacy essential, including MS Excel, MS Access, and Pastel.
  • Strong ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Trustworthy and discreet when handling confidential information.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.
Responsibilities, but not limited to
  • Process stock movements between cold stores and the processing factory.
  • Capture and reconcile production costs to determine final stock cost.
  • Process goods received and goods issued into the stock program.
  • Prepare and process sales invoicing accurately and timeously.
  • Handle and resolve queries related to stock and production.
  • Assist with month-end reconciliations and ensure accurate stock balances.
  • Support the collation and submission of monthly levies.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and ensure all documentation is filed correctly.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth stock control and reporting processes.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify discrepancies or variances.
