A prominent educational institution in Gqeberha is seeking a professional to oversee student disciplinary matters and provide paralegal support. This role requires at least 5 years of relevant experience, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a higher education setting. The ideal candidate will manage various disciplinary processes, ensuring adherence to university policies. Application deadline is November 14, 2025.
To ensure high standard of discipline is adhered to by students, thus fostering a conducive environment for learning, embracing University values, compliance with Higher Education Act and Student Disciplinary Policy. To ensure that all reported alleged student transgression(s) matters are properly recorded and handled. Play a crucial role in arranging set down dates for student disciplinary enquiries/hearings. In conjunction with Senior Director and Legal Advisors, facilitate issuing of notices to appear at the disciplinary enquiry, issuing of No Contact Orders, processing of sanctions, processing of review outcomes, etc. Arranging sessions for Pardon Committee meetings.
Time management, problem solving, organising, reliability, teamwork, active listening, collaboration, result orientation, communication, diversity, equity, and inclusion, integrity, confidentiality, liaison with external stakeholders, ability to work independently, working knowledge and experience of IT systems, Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), experience in working at higher education institution.
