Function Administration Facility Position Administration Clerk | Radiotherapy Centre Introduction
A vacancy exists for an Administration Clerk, based at Life Vincent Pallotti Radiotherapy Centre in Cape Town. This position reports to the Radiotherapy Unit Manager. The Radiotherapy Centre provides comprehensive cancer care services to patients. The successful candidate will contribute to the effective Administration of the Radiotherapy department.
Critical Outputs
- Assist with reception functions as required
- Ensure sufficient stationary available
- Managing diaries for Planning and Treatment Floor
- Data capturing
- Archive management
- Filing and general office duties
- Receive visitors and telephone calls
- Manage front office access and activities
- Coordinate patient appointments
- Maintain patient records
- Coordinate receipt, completion and delivery of forms and mail
- Strong administration skills
- Computer literacy with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- The ability to work systematically
- Good communication and patient care skills
- English and one other official language essential
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills Excel, Word, Outlook
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience as an administration assistant / medical reception will be an added advantage
- The ability to multitask and work well under pressure and professionalism
- Knowledge of hospital procedures and previous relevant experience will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of ICD 10 codes as well as authorisation process is essential
