Role challenge

ModerateReports to : SHAWCO Law Project Manager This role is mostly organizational. It entails working on proposals, budget calculations, and any admin-related duties for the society.

  • Drawing up proposals at the beginning of the year.
  • Working out the logistics of the programme.
  • Compiling the session calendar incorporating the UCT calendar and the public-school calendar days.
  • Compiling a comprehensive budget for the programme for the duration of the year.
  • Organize weekly meetings.
  • Take Comprehensive minutes during meetings.
  • Submit committee hours for UCT Plus Programme.
  • Purchasing items needed for the programme.
Requirements
  • Be a registered UCT law student in the academic year(s).
  • Completion of the Constitutional Law course (PBLW).
  • Be committed to the mission of SHAWCO organization.
  • Be passionate about community development.
  • Have excellent time management, conflict-management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Having previous experience in leadership, specifically within SHAWCO, would be advantageous.
  • Be in good academic standing.
