Job Description

OverviewOur client, a well established insurance and financial services provider based in George in the Western Cape, is seeking a skilled Pricing Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a central role in developing, monitoring and refining pricing models that support profitable growth across the business. This is an on-site position and relocation to George is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and refine pricing models for a range of insurance products
• Analyse large data sets to identify pricing trends, risk drivers and areas of opportunity
• Monitor portfolio performance and recommend pricing adjustments where required
• Conduct rate reviews and assess the impact of proposed pricing changes on volume and profitability
• Build and maintain reporting dashboards that track key pricing and performance metrics
• Work closely with actuarial, underwriting, product and marketing teams to align pricing with business objectives
• Perform competitor and market analysis to benchmark pricing positioning
• Test and validate pricing structures prior to implementation, and support post implementation reviews
• Translate complex technical findings into clear recommendations for non technical stakeholders
• Support the implementation of pricing changes on internal systems and verify accuracy
• Assist with scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis and profitability forecasting
• Ensure all pricing activity complies with relevant regulatory and internal governance requirements
• Document pricing methodologies, assumptions and model changes
• Contribute to continuous improvement of pricing tools, processes and data quality

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, data science, economics or a similar quantitative field
• Proven experience in pricing analysis, preferably within insurance or financial services
• Strong analytical and statistical modelling skills, with the ability to work confidently with large data sets
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools such as SQL, Excel, Python or R
• Sound commercial understanding and the ability to link technical analysis to business outcomes
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present findings to a range of stakeholders
• Willingness to relocate to George in the Western Cape
• Able to work on-site, as this is non-negotiable
• Preference will be given to Employment Equity candidates, specifically Coloured, African and Indian male candidates

Benefits and Compensation

• Our client is offering a salary of R 45 000 to R 80 000 per month, structured as a cost to company package of up to R 75 000 per month
