Job summary

Qualifications

• BSc in Actuarial Science.
• Honours degree preferred.
• Completed at least five actuarial exams.
• 2–3 years actuarial pricing experience in Short-Term Insurance/Banking preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel; familiarity with Power BI, Python, SQL, SAS, R or GLM software advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, updating, and validating pricing models for short-term insurance products.
• Support data preparation and analysis for pricing reviews and profitability assessments.
• Contribute to development of new rating structures and product features.
• Compile and interpret claims, exposure, and financial data for pricing decisions.
• Monitor loss ratios and trends; assess impact of rate changes on portfolio.
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders with key findings.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance and product development teams.
• Assist with regulatory requirements and pricing compliance standards.
• Engage in ongoing actuarial development and exam progress.
