Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Analyst to join our client’s team in Sandton, a dynamic financial hub. You will build actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and forecasting, analyse insurance data, and support regulatory compliance.

The role requires progress toward FIA/FSA/FASSA, a math or actuarial degree, and proven insurance experience. Strong analytical, coding (Python, R) and Excel skills, plus clear communication, are essential, with hybrid work and growth

Qualifications

  • Progress towards actuarial qualifications (e.g., FIA, FSA, FASSA) is essential.
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proven experience as an Actuarial Analyst within the insurance industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency in actuarial software, programming languages (e.g., Python, R), and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
