POSITION INFO :

Are you a qualified or nearly qualified actuary looking to shape the future of actuarial audit support? This is a rare opportunity to join a newly established team and play a pivotal role in building a dynamic actuarial function from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Provide actuarial audit support across a portfolio of clients in the (life and general), retirement funding, and scheme sectors
  • Review technical provisions, IAS 19 liabilities, and IFRS 17 liabilities, including drafting of audit reports
  • Participate in IFRS 17 engagements, including transition assessments and policy impact analysis
  • Conduct actuarial modelling and valuation work for liabilities, due diligence, reinsurance, capital optimisation, and dashboards
  • Assess actuarial functions and assist clients in enhancing risk management processes, including model reviews and operating structure improvements
  • Perform research, data collection, and analysis to produce actionable recommendations
  • Engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and suppliers
  • Support operational activities related to the establishment of the actuarial business unit
  • Contribute to business development through proposal writing and thought leadership initiatives
Job Experience and Skills Required :

Qualified or nearly qualified actuary

  • Experience in audit support across insurance, retirement funds, or medical schemes
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS 17, IAS 19, ISA 540, SAM, and reserving methodologies
  • Familiarity with actuarial tools and platforms (e.g., Prophet, SQL, Python, SAS, Power BI)
  • Excellent communication and business writing skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with attention to detail and a drive for excellence.
