Responsibilities

Our client, a leader in the FMCG industry, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to join their finance team.

The successful candidate will assume responsibility for a large number of supplier reconciliations, payment thereof and staff management. Manage monthly supplier reconciliations and payment verifications. Review batches, GRN reports, and aged items for accuracy. Monitor creditor age analysis and resolve outstanding issues. Supervise and develop Accounts Payable staff.

(4 team members) Handle supplier queries and oversee vendor onboarding. Ensure compliance and accurate Preferential Procurement reporting. A diploma or degree in accounting. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices. 4 years' experience as an Accounts Payable Team Leader / Creditors Supervisor / AP Controller. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Proficiency on a computerized accounting package like Sage / Accpac / Baan / SAP up to R K CTC (medical aid and provident fund included) (experience dependent).
