A leading accounting firm in Cape Town is looking for an Accounts Assistant to manage daily cash book updates, assist with financial reporting, and support office administration. Candidates should have 2-3 years of experience, an accounting diploma, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

Duties: Update the daily cash book and post to general ledger. Drafting of Quarterly Management Accounts. Assisting with creditor and debtor control tasks. General office administration duties (filing, answering telephone).
Assist senior staff with ad-hoc duties. Assisted with monthly bank reconciliations and petty cash management. Supported preparation of VAT returns and SARS submissions. Maintained accurate records for audit readiness and compliance.
Liaised with vendors and clients to resolve payment queries.
