The successful applicant will work within the accounts team and will be involved with:

• Bank reconciliations, cash forecasting and supplier payments
• Leading accounts receivable and ensuring efficient posting of cash receipts
• Process and manage colleague expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
• Creating month-end reconciliations, posting journals and assisting accounts production
• Maintenance of the Group’s asset registers
• Support the AP function with invoice registering and processing
• Maintaining accurate and organised financial records in line with company procedures
• Assisting with internal and external audits as required
• Being primary point of contact for banking queries
• Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc reporting, system improvements and administrative tasks

Essential

• A proactive, curious mindset with a positive attitude
• IT literate and competent in Excel
• Experience and understanding of a fast-paced accounts department
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• The ability to work independently and manage workload in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience of working in a similar accounts or finance assistant role

Desirable

• Working towards or completed CIMA, ACCA, or similar professional qualification
• Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or technology environment
• Knowledge of accruals accounting and balance sheet reconciliation
• Understanding of VAT regulations and compliance
• Experience with NetSuite
• Exposure to month-end and year-end processes
