Job summary

Outsourced CFO Pty is seeking independent Accounting Consultants for project-based engagements to support clients with accounting, tax compliance, and advisory services. Qualified CA(SA), AGA, SAIPA, CIMA or CPA with 3–5 years in accounting preferred.

Roles cover client accounting, tax compliance, financial reporting, payroll processing, and advisory support. Work is remote within South Africa with flexible freelance projects and opportunities to engage with clients across industries and

Qualifications

• Must hold a professional qualification: CA(SA), AGA, SAIPA, CIMA or CPA.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience working with USA and/or European markets is a plus.
• Strong client service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process bank statements, supplier and customer bills, fixed assets and other accounting tasks.
• Ensure SARS compliance, including VAT reconciliations, tax calculations and submissions.
• Compile management reports and annual financial statements.
• Prepare working papers for independent review engagements.
• Conduct and review monthly accounting to ensure accurate financial statements.
• Assist with payroll processing (EMP201, EMP501, COIDA/WCA submissions).
• Engage with clients, build relationships and provide financial advisory support.
• Assist with client budget preparation.
• Provide secretarial services, including annual returns and board resolutions.
• Maintain accurate client records in the CRM; onboarding/offboarding.

Outsourced CFO is looking for independent Accounting Consultants for project-based or contract engagements to support our clients with accounting, tax compliance, and advisory services.

Are you a qualified CA(SA), AGA, SAIPA, CIMA or CPA professional with 3 to 5 years experience in accounting? Are you looking for flexible, project-based work where you can leverage your expertise in accounting, compliance, and client service? Job responsibilities will include, among other things:

Client Accounting & Tax Compliance

Process bank statements, supplier and customer bills, fixed assets, and other accounting tasks

Prepare client proposals and project scopes

Manage your own schedule and workload while meeting client deadlines

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position will hold a CA(SA), AGA, SAIPA or CIMA or similar professional qualifications. They will have 3 to 5 years' experience in accounting.
