Our Johannesburg office is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our team at a leading charter brokerage.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our local financial operations while also providing vital assistance to our international team based in Dubai.

Responsibilities
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Maintaining financial reports
  • Posting purchase invoices
  • Dealing with queries from suppliers
  • Posting payments and receipts
  • Bank Recs / Cash Control
  • Month End & other reports
  • High volume transactions
  • Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Meeting processing and reporting deadline
Qualifications
  • Fluent in English, strong written and verbal communication for local and international collaboration
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance, relevant qualification required
  • Minimum 1‑2 years experience required
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills, confident working with financial data and reports
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented – accuracy and attention to detail are essential
  • Intermediate Excel skills, comfortable with formulas, pivot tables, and spreadsheets
  • Able to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Quick to learn, adaptable and able to pick up new systems and processes efficiently
