Job summary

The candidate will manage the function through to trial balance and contribute to month-end close and reporting with a hands-on approach and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• An accounting degree or relevant tertiary qualification.
• SAIPA or SAICA training and experience considered.
• Strong experience in transaction processing, invoicing and reconciliations.
• Ability to manage accounting records through to trial balance.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Loyal, dependable and committed attitude.
• Appreciation for accurate, hands-on accounting work.

Responsibilities

• Process day-to-day financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Manage customer invoicing, supplier invoices and related accounting entries.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
• Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Process general ledger entries and maintain supporting documentation.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with month-end procedures and prepare accounts up to trial balance.
• Maintain sound financial administration and internal controls.
• Support the finance team with reporting and other accounting-related duties.
