Our client, a group which holds a diversified portfolio of investments both locally and internationally, is seeking an ACCOUNTANT, to join their team. The role is based in STELLENBOSCH.

Minimum skills and experience required :
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Professional affiliation (SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA) is an advantage
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar role

Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Managing key financial transactions, which includes overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the comprehensive processing of general ledger entries
  • Oversee the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing
  • Maintain and review accounting records, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable standards and internal controls
  • Review VAT reconciliations and ensure timely, accurate VAT submissions and payments
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and reports
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Manco inputs preparation (reporting)
  • Month end journals
  • Process depreciation and ensure proper asset classification and disposal
