BGR Alluvium Incorporated,located in Stellenbosch, is seeking an Accountant to join our team ofprofessionals.Primary objective : BGR Alluvium is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team, with astrong focus on financial reviews, monthly accounting, and tax compliance.
This role is ideal forsomeone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering accurate, timelyfinancial insights that drive business decisions.Primary Outcomes : Your main duties will include processing accounting records for multiple entities.Perform bank reconciliation (Current account, salaries account, client account, call account,and petty cash account).
Formulate accounting policies when needed.Uploading of bank confirmations for clients.Process source documents e.g. cashbooks, debtors, creditors etc.Arrange weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports.Processing of all purchase invoices (processing of accounting records).
Distributing bank statements to relevant partiesYou will also be responsible for the monthly payrollSubmit monthly UFilling and EFiiling (EMP) reports & submit annual and bi-annual returns (EMP)Process, Submit and Pay all third parties' payments (Medical Aid, Provident Fund, Group life)Statutory tax functions e.g. UIF, WCA registrationsCompile documents for audit / review for multilpe entitiesPreparation of financial statements for multiple entitiesOffice and facilities managementPoint of contact for all maintenance of the building (Aircons, lift, plumbing, gates etc.)Assist trainees with day-to-day queries.Provide training for trainees as and when neededAny other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by directorspetencies : Effective organization of daily tasks (time management, planning, administration and reporting skills, meeting deadlinesMentoring & Training skills of staffExcellent communication skills both verbal and written in English and AfrikaansExcellent computer skills – Excel & Office .Candidate Requirements / Specification : Related bachelor's degree3 – 5 years' experience post ArticlesAfrikaans and English proficientSAIPA registered will be highly advantageous.Payroll experiences will be advantageousXero and Caseware experiences will be advantageousExperience in working on Greatsoft will be highly advantageousSuitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply by no later than 19 September
