Odixcity Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and financial reporting, with a solid grasp of US GAAP or UK GAAP (IFRS/UK GAAP), to deliver accurate, timely data that supports our business growth.

This role handles accounts management, tax compliance, budgeting support, and strategic financial insights for management, ensuring high accuracy and meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as an Accountant or similar role.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, SAP).
• CPA (US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Financial Record Management: Record daily financial transactions in the general ledger with accuracy.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Reconciliation & Compliance: Perform bank reconciliations, monitor AP/AR, ensure regulatory tax compliance.
• Tax & Payroll: Compute tax payments, prepare returns, and process payroll.
• Analysis & Budgeting: Assist budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits with documentation and explanations.

Job Responsibilities

• Financial Record Management: Accurately record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and invoices in the general ledger.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit/loss statements, in compliance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Reconciliation & Compliance: Perform bank reconciliations, monitor AP/AR, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, or UK tax regulations.
• Tax & Payroll: Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns, and process payroll, ensuring compliance with local laws.
• Analysis & Budgeting: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring to identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience of 3-5 years as an Accountant or similar role.
• Knowledge: Strong, demonstrable understanding of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, SAP).
• Certification: CPA (for US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (for UK) is preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Must have a strong back-up power supply and internet supply, and a working laptop.
