Job description

Somerset West. My client, in the Supply Chain and Fleet Industry, has a vacancy for an Accountant with at least 3-5 years experience in accounting to join their team.

Requirements:
  • Matric (NQF 4)
  • Accounting articles with SAIPA/ SAICA would be an advantage
  • Relevant undergraduate qualification would be an advantage
  • Certificate in Bookkeeping/ Accounting is essential
  • Bookkeeping up to trial balance
  • Experience with both local and foreign currencies and cash books (USD and ZMW)
  • Good communication skills (Verbal and written)
  • Detail orientated and organised
  • Adept in prioritising and multitasking with tight deadlines
  • Valid Code B drivers and own transport (an inherent requirement of the role)
Duties will include, but not limited to:
  • Preparation of management reports monthly
  • Preparing Invoices and submitting to customers timeously for payment as well as following up on payments
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Assist and manage liaisons for annual audits
  • Balance sheet recons
  • Treasury management - daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow planning
  • Maintain transactions from operational system to finance system
  • Mitigate any corrections after deadlines
  • Forecasting/ budgeting preparation of schedules
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are essential
