Job description

SUMMARY

The primary objective of this role is to collaborate closely with the business to ensure robust financial control and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with both internal standards and external regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reconciliation of all general ledge accounts – preparation of accurate monthly management accounts
• Processing transactions on SAP – provisions, accruals, interest, tax, salaries, depreciation etc.
• Collaboration with other departments to ensure completion of month end processes
• Fixed assets register maintenance
• Supplier reconciliations for payments
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Preparation of tax computations and VAT reconciliations for review
• Submission of tax returns (VAT, Income tax, Provisional tax, PAYE, DWT) and preparation of tax audit schedules.
• Support with product costing – co-ordination of stock counts and variance analysis
• Preparation of forex reports for recoveries
• Budget and forecasting
• Preparation and submission of monthly BBBEE reporting
• Preparation and submission of reporting for Stats SA

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Matric
• Degree – Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or equivalent
• 3+ years' experience in Automotive Manufacturing
• CIMA Qualified
• Knowledge of forex (currency fluctuations, forex risk and the accounting treatment of forex)
• SAP S4 / Hana experienced
