CA Support in Joubertina, Eastern Cape, seeks an experienced Accountant for a hybrid role, combining office-based and remote work. You will manage financial accounting and reporting for multiple entities, ensuring sound controls and accurate reporting while supporting the Financial Manager.

The role also involves overseeing a small finance administration team, month-end/year-end processes, VAT submissions, SARS compliance, and budgeting analyses to guide operational decisions.

Formación

• BCom Accounting degree or equivalent.
• 3–5 years' experience in financial accounting, up to trial balance & management accounts.
• Experience in month-end and year-end processes.
• Sound knowledge of VAT legislation and SARS submissions.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central advantageous.
• SAIPA or CIMA qualification in progress advantageous.
• Valid driver's licence.

Responsabilidades

• Manage month-end and year-end financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Review journals, control accounts and monthly provisions.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets and variance analyses.
• Coordinate budgeting processes and capital expenditure reporting.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and oversee related accounting processes.
• Oversee creditor payments, VAT submissions and SARS compliance.
• Supervise and support the creditors and payroll clerks.
• Ensure effective internal controls and audit readiness.
• Analyse financial data and identify opportunities for improved processes and efficiencies.
• Provide financial information and reporting to management and relevant statutory bodies.

Our client, a well-established group operating within the agricultural and fruit industry, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join its Eastern Cape operations.

The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining office-based and remote working.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the financial accounting and reporting functions across multiple entities, ensuring sound financial controls, accurate reporting and effective financial administration. The role will also involve overseeing a small finance administration team and supporting the Financial Manager with financial planning and operational decision-making.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3–5 years' relevant experience in financial accounting, preferably up to trial balance and management accounts.
• Experience in month-end and year-end financial processes.
• Sound knowledge of VAT legislation and SARS submissions.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will be advantageous.
• Experience in the agricultural or fruit industry will be beneficial.
• SAIPA or CIMA qualification, or progress towards professional registration, will be advantageous.
• Valid driver's licence.
