Job summary

A reputable accounting firm in Kempton Park is seeking an experienced Accountant to prepare IFRS-compliant financial reports and manage various financial activities. The ideal candidate must hold a BCom Degree in Accounting and have a minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in the motor industry. The position requires detail-oriented and proactive individuals who can work both independently and collaboratively.

• Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience, preferably in the motor industry.
• Code 8 driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial reports and statements (IFRS-compliant).
• Manage fixed assets, debtors, and creditors.
• Reconcile payments and balances, resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Oversee expense control and risk management at branch level.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly journals; maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Review stock counts and monitor cash sales.
• Control branch financial activities, ensure adherence to policies.
• Support junior staff and suggest accounting improvements.
