Job summary

EnableSA in Port Elizabeth is seeking an Accountant to join the Coega team. This role focuses on monthly management accounts and IFRS-compliant financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is a CA(SA) with 1–2 years' experience or newly qualified, with strong IFRS exposure and audit background, and the ability to liaise with SARS.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA(SA) with 1-2 years of experience or newly qualified.
• Strong exposure to IFRS, audit, and financial reporting during articles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts.
• Assist with annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance and reconciliations.
• Support statutory reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with tax calculations including income tax, VAT, and provisional tax.
• Liaise with SARS and external tax advisors as required.
• Ensure timely submission of tax returns.
• Perform financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Identify cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
• Support decision-making through financial insights and reporting.
