We're looking for a dedicated finance professional to oversee our full accounting function, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide key financial insights that drive business decisions.

What You'll Be Doing : The Core Responsibilities

• Financial Accuracy & Compliance: Prepare, examine, and own the accuracy of all financial records, statements, and reports, ensuring full compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Full Cycle Accounting: Efficiently manage the entire accounting process, including accounts payable / receivable, bank reconciliations, and the smooth execution of month‑end and year‑end close procedures.
• General Ledger Mastery: Maintain and scrutinize the general ledger to ensure proper account classification and integrity.
• Inter-Company Oversight: Expertly manage and reconcile all inter‑company transactions between our branches.
• Strategic Reporting: Prepare comprehensive Monthly Management Accounts and analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to management.
• Budgeting Support: Play an active role in the annual budget preparation and ongoing financial planning.
• Process Improvement: Continuously monitor and improve financial procedures and internal controls for maximum efficiency.

Your Work Environment & Commitment

Location: Primarily based in Killarney Gardens, Western Cape.

Travel: Required travel (approx. 25%) between our Cape Town and Johannesburg branches.

Hours: Full‑time, Monday through Saturday. Expect occasional extended hours during critical financial closing periods (month‑end / year‑end).

What You'll Need to Succeed : Requirements

• Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Experience: A proven track record with 6+ years of progressive experience as an Accountant is mandatory.
• Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in SAGE accounting software and advanced skills in MS Excel are essential.
• Financial Foundation: A deep, current understanding of accounting principles (GAAP / IFRS) and financial regulations.
• Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, superior organizational skills, and robust analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• License: A valid Driver's License is required.
• Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.

Pay Range
